Welcome!

HI, I AM JENNIFER PADILLA, (SHE/HER/HERS),

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) practicing in Napa, California. I am a bilingual, (Spanish/English) therapist. I was born in Mexico and brought to the United States when I was just a few months old. I am the first in my family to graduate high school, college and complete a graduate program. Growing up first generation, I encountered several challenges, but I also obtained great support which played a crucial role in my decision of becoming a therapist.

I received a master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage, and Family Therapy, from California State University, Sacramento and my undergraduate degree in Sociology, from the University of California, Davis.

I have been working as a therapist since 2014. As a therapist I have supported others with their mental health journey. I have worked with a diverse population of clients including; youth on probation, people struggling with substance use, marginalize minorities, as well as collaborating with clients who experience symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues.

When not participating in psychotherapy for my private practice, I work as a clinical supervisor for a local nonprofit.

On my personal time I like working out, reading, and spending time with my husband and two kids.

Therapeutic Style

I tailor my treatment approach to the specific needs of each client. However, some of the evidence-base practices I enjoy working with are Dialectical Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative and Solution Focus modalities.
